Su Embroidery by Adrian Gan collection
'Su embroidery started in the country of Wu (now the Suzhou area). What started from embroidering fabrics
to decorate garments became a new form of art. The craftsmanship was so fine that it is said
the needles of the embroiderers was as thin as hair, threads were split into 10,
and the best works could beat the beauty of paintings.'

Kingfisher Jewellery by Adrian Gan collection
'Kingfisher is a type of bird known for its beautiful vibrant blue feathers. Their feathers were often
used to create beautiful pieces of jewellery by decorating pieces of plain metal, with the earliest record
of them being found in the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 9 AD). When seen from afar the blue of the
jewellery looks like stones or as if it has been painted on, but when one takes a closer look,
they can see the beautiful textures the feathers create.'
