http://thehoneycombers.com/jakarta/sejauh-mata-memandang-textile-exhibition/

i know Sejauh Mata Memandang in instagram @sejauh_mata_memandang. their post is amazing. their pattern is something new, the next level of batik. the color is simple.

two more days left, i almost didn't attend this exhibition due to my laziness and in need of me time at home. after going out every weekends for 2 months, i deserve a stop moment. if not for attending calligraphy pen meet up which is my first time water coloring with strangers, i won't attend this exhibition.

introduction

this textile exhibition as a commemorate their one year journey. their story start from chicken noodle bowl. Then their explore with algae collection, that inspired by Jez O'hare photo.
"we are dazzled by Jez O'hare, Indonesian photographer who takes magnificent photos from up above, sideways, on the ground and in the sea. we are aerially inspired upon his seaweed farms scattered in Indonesia's waters photo for our freshest collection. for more Indonesia topography, eart lines and shapes, water rises and falls. " www.indonesiaphotography.com

the space with fabric hanged

i inspired by how the lightness fabric is shown by hanging them. and in the center of the space they created a wave of fabric. the space is not big as i expected, but they present it well and neat. overall the room divided into 3 parts. the first is the main exhibition. the second is the merchandiser at the back. and the last is a big pitch black space with big screen projector to show the video.

the big pitch black room. the fisher boats actually moving slowly similar to screen saver.

 after seen

  • amaze by the patterns, even pattern at perimeter
  • even the space is small, i still sense it's quite spacious, bright and well arranged
  • taking pics in hanging things need patience. the objects moves freely unexpected
  • inspired by the idea of hanging, it shows how light their fabric and i can see the fabric's flow. also i can touch and feel the texture. also i can imagine to wear it.
  • since the space is quiet of people, i can take shoots freely

young creative designer at AYCIF fashion show

excited to get free invitation to see fashion show at AYCIF (Asean Youth Creative Industry Fair) at Kawasan Kota Tua, Jakarta. There will be 18 Asean Young Designers. so, the show must be variated.

Lazuli Sarae [indonesia]

batik on denim as a travel outfit.

pardon the color rendering

look at that faded batik on denim. cool.

that magic stick also exists on stage

Ingrid Husodo [indonesia]

just goggling that there's something interesting in her design. each collection will represents many ways of variation in creating fashion. her character simple, clean, imaginative, unique with combination of layering and geometrical shape.

i see dynamic curves, layers, the flapping seam

Michaele & The Stellars [Brunei]

just googling that they are also a footwear designer.

Ravipa [thailand]

one word that i learned after googling Ravipa, love.
as stated in their site,
meaningful jewelry that fill your days with love.
make each and every one of your day a memorable and meaningful one day filled with the warmth of love with RAVIPA
they encourage everyone to express love in their own ways.

Mae Teeta [thailand]

just googling that Mae Teeta specialized in natural indigo-dyed textile. Go check their site, there are many stories to tell. Start from the material, the process, their workshop and their participation in various events.

person at right is the designer, Sukajit Daengchai. Loving her style.

Simons Sister [thailand]

their character is playful. apparently the artistic design from their artwork created by Melada and print onto the textile such as linen or cotton. Because they love the natural fabric. And their printing process use hand-print technique only. then no need minimum quantity in each production.

after seen

  • my excitement slowly dropped at the beginning as they start late because after the shows over i still need driving to lippo karawaci, attending wedding reception. Oh also i need time to change the outfit too
  • even though it's late, i can kill the time by walking around the Museum Fine Arts & Ceramics, also i get a little peek preparation at behind the show
  • at early show not much something attracted
  • i didn't finish watch the show, because i'm running out of time

frankly this one is my first properly watched of fashion show. i learned that taking moving photo is not easy also added with low light too. So, pardon my bad quality image.

look at those rustiness color. a.ma.ze me
hey, there's secret message

why the horse with black stained? anyway this material reminds me the 'Aku dan Dipenegoro' exhibition

this technique is kinda frequency. but i find new thing, look at that man in bottom left pics, the artist use transparent texture

Gone by Andy Dewantoro. Really attracted by the 'gone' technique

this kind of pics always reminds me to look the bigger picture, faraway, see the surrounds. don't judge by the parts

whoa! weaving. ok nice idea and technique.

i see chaos, theatre show, any defence tools, game. just like our politic huh.

that bucket is real in 3D. is it the same wood as in 'Aku dan Pangeran Dipenogoro' exhibition?

how chaos in framed | that drawing technique easy to look but hard to implement | still not understand why photograph | ten rupiah still worth it at that time

who can't resist to selfie in this huge art walls?

for me it's a show. full. attractive. funny at one side and miserable at the same time

shadow me
last pic taken before the battery is die. luckily.
