| why i took the sad expression |
early bird promotion
when i knew doraemon expo will happen in Jakarta. i was super excited. it would feel like meeting childhood cartoon heroes. too excited until i bought early bird tickets which is 20% off on 30th nov (which is the last day promo), of course after i 'poisoned' 3 of my friends. (later during the show has opened, they still sell promo price for the tickets. turns out the same. huh).then i get more excited after i browse doraemon expo in other countries. Looks nice and super fun.
the day
The doraemon secret gadget expo has opened since 28th nov. but i didn't have time to attend and my friends also cannot. i forgot why, definitely duty calls. A week before the expo end, we got a chance. Before the day, i browse the photo inside this expo. Not many exciting things. Mostly they take the same spot. Hmm... my expectation was dropped.still in the mood of being new driver. this is the northernmost area i've been driving. The expo happened in Ancol area and finding Ancol Beach City Mall is hard for the clueless me. After we find it, the empty parking lot is hard to find too. after circling 2 or 3 times we find it.
line up
i was shocked by the looong line up. didn't expect still crowded like this. we split. my friend kept line up and me exchanged with the real tickets. thanks i bought tickets via online, no queue at all in exchanging tickets. One of my friend cannot come and we sold her ticket. (later on, we used this money to buy dorayaki and coin game). i understand why we must line up, to maintain the quantity of people inside. So, you don't feel to much crowded then you can't enjoy the expo, even you can't take photo (this is important)inside
as a starters, it tells the origins of doraemon. too many people wanted to take photo with this doraemon. me not interested.the next is a room full of many many doraemons and his inspired gadget.

- super happy. higher than my expectation.
- super worth it with the price i pay, many things to see and capture.
- divided into areas : the origins of doraemon itself | 100 doraemon figures with its super gadget | nobita's wedding altar | room scenes from the series | pose while using the gadget | neighborhood scenes | gift & souvenir area
- the quality of figure's finishing is quite clean and neat even the expo almost over. it seen the wholeheartedly the people behind this.
- two thumbs for the organizing committee and the visitor. i see no trash, no random hand lettering that irritated its look.
- the image background is much more interested rather than 3d figures.
