the mix of mountain and sea : alor island

intro

the journey starts on 27|07|12. 9 days to travel.
me and my friends, around 30 people.
we took AC+comfy bus, ferry ship, local bus without AC+small space, local boat (from the small one into the ferry).
location is east of NTT.

sunset on the boat. don't remember where it is, maybe on our way across to Bali
same location as above.

the main village

one of their home. facing to the sea.
if you're lucky, this is how the villagers greet the outsiders.
come sit and enjoy the show
it's the show. dancing, singing, shouting, act fighting, play some instruments
that woman carrying the precious thing. oh god i forget the term. that thing use by man to propose the woman he'll be marrying.
this is the best spot. you can find by sitting at the back
some of their home
this is how the house's frame. real solid wood is used.

one day visit to another village

the journey to get the village. after we rent the 'angkot' (public car transport), we walk up.
stop a moment to enjoy the view
rest area before the roads getting harder to walk. harder means sometimes i crawl, using my hands to help me stabilize my body so i can't fall down. the road is slopping downward.
another breathtaking view. mountain vs sea. can you find the walking path? that's where we'll go
a little green on top
arrrive

the journey to stay in another village

we took local boat
contrast
above the sea i can see little fishy fishy
waiting for the boat come pick me up
where's our boat? why not cooome.
look at the sands
it's okay we wait, if the spot is like this
another island across our
the boat arrive. let's come home

beach.... around an hour from our place

my first impression is the gradation of the sea colour. it's magnificent. from the dark blue, light blue, a little turquoise, the brown shade colour from the sand.
at the edge you can collect some seashells

another beach... when two different streams meet

can't believe i can feel the two different streams at one spot. one come across from the left, and the other one come from the right.
crystal clear
find this pop up sands. i forget the term.
the sunset colour amazes me. a little pink, peach
rocks
random rocks
the only green i see in this sand
pinky sunset light
look at the pattern that sea created

komodo here we cooome... on our journey back home

labuan bajo port (i guess, cause i'm just the followers)
unique boat
another mountain vs sea
we are amazes by the islands, the sea, the sky.
walk to meet komodo dragon. prepare a lot of sunblocks. it's really really dry.
hey there!
i forget the exactly of this bone is it komodo itself or their foods.
see everywhere is dry. looks like desert.
too hot
it's the welcoming on its island
green vs desert
time to continue our journey home
